"Community Healing"

This is an evidence-based approach to counseling directed at low-income individuals, probationers, and/or those using harm-reduction medication. Through solutions-based work, motivational interviewing, cognitive and dialectical therapeutic approaches, we build a comprehensive picture of the the barriers and strengths that pertain to each individual's recovery. This involves time-bound goal setting, getting explicit in the language we use to frame our circumstances and identity, and building action-based tools into a new recovery environment. Progress is tracked through emotion-labeling scales, number of goals achieved, and mindful recording of areas clients wish to improve on from anything like negative self-talk to diet and exercise.

Community Healing understands you exist at the level of your individual self, the family and friends you are plugged into, your job, you state, your country, and the world at large. Parsing your responsibility and identity at each level is work every day. Our counselors will work with you individually or as a family to help denote what you can do to stay empowered and in control.

"Pathways to Renewal"

This programs seeks to address the practical needs of released from incarceration. From transportation to direct contact with available job opportunities, barriers like access to the internet or a safe and sober ride can meaningfully contribute to reincarceration. This program includes counseling, probation reporting, and group or individual sessions to identify and provide barriers and new opportunities to maintain. This program does not pay court or probation fees, but does work to create financial planning and pay-off schedules.
